The Hermit Archetype | The Wise One Within

,

The hermit archetype is someone who we usually see dressed in the robes of a monk. His appearance in your life represents someone who can serve as a guide or a teacher on the journey that we call life.

The hermit usually, but not always, leaves behind the life and the relationships that no longer hold any satisfaction for him. Many of us, especially those in the working world, use work as an excuse to avoid doing any self-reflection.

When the hermit appears, it asks that you outright reject any advice or guidance that is not in alignment with what you’ve been trying to leave behind. Just as the monk in the hermit card can light his own path, so, too, can we be the wise one of our own life.

No guide, advisor or counsellor is necessary. Sit down in quiet contemplation. The answers you need will emerge from within.

You will never find your answers in the noise of the world, but if you seek ‘Me’, you will find them within.
