San Francisco Bay Blues, Oysters, Clam Chowder and a long walk

“It wasn’t all bad,” he says.

I laugh. It never is. My feet sink into the spongey fake grass. The sun is shining. The bay is calling out to me like an old friend. When was the last time I felt this free? Since I felt this at ease?

San Francisco is the first city that I’ve visited in a long time that actually embodies the Pisces energy. A Pisces on the Aries cusp – but a Pisces nevertheless. I feel like I can just get lost in the moment and let it take me where it wants to – that I can stay in the flow of things without worrying too much about anything.

And that’s exactly what I did. I took the Caltrain into the city and then just took a loooong walk. I know you can catch the tram, metro and what have you – but the weather was so nice that I didn’t feel like getting on public transport.

The sky’s blue. The ocean’s blue. And it’s the most serendipitous, serene shade of blue I’ve seen in a long time. It was nice just sitting by the ocean and watching life go by. I just felt so free.

For lunch, I went to the Hog Island Oyster Bar inside the Ferry Building. I ate four oysters and indulged in a clam chowder. And – I had my first cider in YEARS. I don’t drink these days, but there was something refreshing (and necessary) about cider on a quasi hot day with the winter breeze in the air.

You don’t need me to tell you the food was good, right?

Till next time 🙂
