The Ace of Wands | A Brand New Beginning

Aces, in general, represent a new beginning of some sort. It may also represent a return to the beginning and a return to where it all started for us. When we find ourselves returning to the beginning, we come to realise that the person and the place that initiated us is not meant to be with us for the rest of the journey. It was just the start. A long journey still awaits.

Pace yourself, O traveller on life’s journey, for the journey ahead is long, indeed. Do not get caught up in the temporary high of the moment. Be sure that that the opportunity you avail is one that you can commit to for the long haul.

The Ace of Wands, in particular, is a card that represents the pure potential of the fire element. The wand is sprouting with leaves, showing that growth and progress is possible, but there will be many challenges that will arise along the journey. There will be many mountains to climb and many moments of exhaustion and tiredness.

When it comes to the Wands archetype, the risk of burn out is there. If you find yourself feeling burnt out by your passions, pace yourself. Perhaps you are pushing yourself and others too hard. Take breaks when necessary and don’t push yourself and others when neither of you are able to go on. Patience is required if you want to reach your goals.

If you are pursuing your life’s dreams and your life’s passion, not everyone is going to be happy for you. If you find yourself surrounded by people who don’t share your love and your enthusiasm, keep it to yourself. Eventually, you will find someone who appreciates you, your gifts and your talents. Do not go running after the wrong opportunity for it will lead to the death of your passion.

Why has your passion waned? Did you find something or someone better? Perhaps what excited you in the beginning does not excite you anymore. Perhaps what you were once passionate about does not, in any way, fire you up anymore. You have found something and someone better. You are just completely ‘over’ the initiatory phase and the time has come to see where else the journey is going to lead.

If you feel bored by a person or a situation, ask yourself why. If you long to bring more happiness and excitement to a situation that is stale and boring, there is nothing wrong with that. Just be careful that you don’t end up alienating everyone around you by wanting to get your own way. Learn to be generous and giving with others regardless of what your personal likes and dislikes may be.

Despite the warning label I just gave, the Ace of Wands comes into our life to bring us good fortune and good luck. At the same time, we need to work hard and put in the effort if we want to see results. The Ace of Wands represents ‘a good beginning’. Luck is on your side, for now. Good fortune, especially in terms of financial growth, is now possible.

New opportunities are destined to come into your life. The advice here is that: remember to make investments for the long-run. Do not fall for what seems or appears to be good for the moment. Avoid short cuts as they will cost you in the long-run. Stay true and honourable to the promises that you have made and you will be richly rewarded.

The Aces also represent that initiative must be taken. It is not a time to rest on one’s laurels and nor is it a time to bemoan all that has not come to pass. When it comes to a romantic relationship, the Ace of Wands represents a commitment that is in process of being made. As it is a wands card, the spouses involved can expect to fully enjoy the process of a new creation. For those who are single, it is time to put yourself out there and ask someone out.

Wands are not afraid to grab what they want with both hands. If there’s something you want to do, just do it. Life is too darned short to live any other way.
