Two of Wands | A Leap of Faith

,

Will the grass really be greener on the other side? On some level, we all know that we always always have a lot to be thankful for. But still, regardless of how good or even how bad we have it, the more curious folk amongst us can’t help but wonder: what would life be like ‘out there’.

For some reason, we have a thirst for adventure that won’t go away. We can’t help but wonder, what is the world ‘out there’ really like? Where is ‘out there’ anyway? Is not the whole world your very own? If money was not a deciding factor, where would you go and what would you do?

Perhaps, and I say this expecting you to exercise caution, it is better to explore an opportunity and at least see what it has to offer you than to let it slide away due to our conditioning. Sometimes, we are unwilling to explore an opportunity that has been presented to us because we have well and truly been conditioned by society to reject this opportunity.

But should we reject it outright? Would that be a wise decision?

When the Two of Wands appears, the answer is: if it doesn’t scare you, it isn’t a risk and it isn’t worth doing. If it does scare you, how are you going to deal with the fear response that you are having? Is it valid or is it due to prior conditioning?

In some cases it is the former and in some cases it is the latter. Sometimes we are afraid of being ridiculed or criticised by others, but how valid is that fear? Perhaps you even have someone in your midst who is constantly telling you to exercise caution and is holding you back from being all that you can be…

What really lies ahead for Mr. Two of Wands? Is the grass truly greener on the other side? There’s really no way to know unless he just takes that leap of faith and makes a decision to try his luck, his hand or to just seize that opportunity that has presented itself to him.

If he misses the opportunity this time around, it doesn’t mean that there isn’t another one coming. There will be other opportunities in the future. At the same time, the Two of Wands reminds us that while other opportunities will present themselves, this particular opportunity may well be a once-in-a-lifetime affair that is not to be missed.

Partnership

The Two of Wands pushes us towards partnership. It is a predictor of success in creative ventures, especially those that involve international partnership and cooperation. It reminds us that the world is, well and truly, our oyster.

This isn’t the time to be a loner (see Hyena). No, no… It is time to begin a journey with someone new and different that will lead to success. This journey, however, is not destined to happen alone. If possible, try to find a colleague to partner with on your venture. Travel far far away if the opportunity presents itself. Look for unique ways to grow. Do not just stick to your own neck of the woods. Put yourself out there and give yourself the chance to learn something completely different from what you know.

The Two of Wands indicates that while you will have two options available to you, one of them will, indeed, be greener than the other option. You will, quite possibly, have the chance to explore both before making a decision. What will be your decision-making criteria? Do you know how to make the best possible decision? If you’re not entirely sure, meditation may help you to understand which is the best possible choice for you.

You may have to choose between staying in your current career or taking up a new opportunity that presents itself. As this is a Wands card, it usually signals that we should–and most likely will–seize the new opportunity. If you are an entrepreneur, it indicates that you should find an opportunity that allows you to expand, to grow and to develop further than you already have.

When the Two of Wands appears, the advise is: go for it!
