Projection | A Mental Malady

The man and the woman face each other. Both of them are projecting an image onto the other person that they have constructed dutifully within the confines of their own mind. This is why they are not able to see the other person clearly. They are completely deluded and they do not even know it.

‘This’ has happened to us because we are not fully aware of our expectations, desires and judgments. If we are not even self-aware, how can we be aware of another person’s expectations, desires and judgments?

It is simply impossible!

Whatsoever you see, then, is just a projection. We never look or see things as they are. We mix them and taint them with our illusions and delusions. Somewhere deep down we know that things are not as we see them. Things are just not as they seem.

We have deceived ourselves by refusing the acknowledge the truth.

How you interpret events, people and even ideas comes down to the mind and the training, education and conditioning it has received.

You look at the screen, but really, it’s just a projection and the projector is at the back. You were so busily engrossed looking at the screen that you didn’t even notice the projector at the back. The projector is what is screening this unreal movie.

Deep down, somewhere, you know that things are just not as they seem. You know that it is all a movie. It may seem real, but it is not. It is unreal. It is a projection. It is Maya.

Just be patient, just watch… Watch the thoughts in the mind arise and then slip and slide away. This person is not the point. You are projecting something; something that has only come into existence in your mind.

If you really want to know the truth, the scriptures are not going to show you the path. They are from someone else’s experience, someone else’s knowledge and someone else’s era. It can be difficult to break out of this tendency because of its repetitive nature.

The only way to reach the truth is to stop creating dreams. You become more and more filled with truth the less you allow yourself to create dreams.

Do not create dreams anymore. Find where the projector is. Put on a different movie.
