My work of prose-poetry Oneness opens with a haunting, poignant scene: a man stands at his wife’s funeral in Kashi, the city sacred to Shiva. In his grief, he is drawn inexorably toward the Shiva shrine where his wife once worshipped, a place steeped in devotion and mystery. This moment marks more than just loss—it becomes the catalyst for a spiritual journey.

The story then shifts from the rawness of human relationships to the transcendent relationship between the soul and God—specifically, the unique bond the wife shared with Shiva. Through this narrative, the boundaries between traditions and lovers gently dissolve, revealing a deeper unity.
This book unfolds through the delicate connection between the man, the woman, and God—a triad of love that transcends loss and human boundaries. It is a meditation on how their relationships intertwine, showing how the wife’s bond with Shiva transforms the husband’s journey toward understanding love in its fullest, most spiritual form.
For me, Oneness is a testament to the sacred communion that exists between human partners and the divine presence that holds them—revealing that intimacy is never just between two, but is always touched and shaped by the Oneness of God.
