The Page of Swords | The Know-It-All

,

The entire Suit of Swords represents the element of air. Through our words, we reveal to others how we think. The Page, in particular, tends to appear when we are dealing with someone who is young or someone who still has a lot to learn.

To the swords type, truth is the highest ideal, but it is not one that is easy to live up to. But once we do ‘see’ the truth, it is not one that we can avoid or turn away from. We can no longer live in la-la land cause we have now finally seen it for ourselves.

Communication

The Page of Swords can represent someone who is blunt with their speech and doesn’t mince their words. If you’ve met someone and you don’t like the way they communicate or if the way they speak is rubbing you the wrong way, do take note of their communication style. Not everyone is able to read non-verbal cues. Some people just cannot tell when others are unhappy with them. You will need to spell it out for them. But when you do, they will not appreciate or understand it.

The Page of Swords usually represents someone who is smart, but insensitive. They can irritate people without realising. They will have to learn to communicate with more sensitivity if they would like to have a closer and more intimate relationship with the people around them.

In line with that, the Page of Swords can appear when we are being asked to either speak up or quieten down. If you have said something you should not have–even though you thought it was the right thing to do at the time–know that your words can be taken back. Secondly, learn to listen to others instead of impose or argue your point of view. Ask the right questions instead of constantly talking all the time.

You may be surprised to discover that although you said much, no one was actually listening.

Immaturity

The Page can also represent an individual who is immature and who has a mindset that is far younger than yours. If you find yourself with someone who you feel is far less mature than you, ask yourself if time will do the trick. Sometimes, it is all a question of Divine Timing.

If you meet someone and you feel that they are coming across as too young or too old, too traditional or too hip, and if you sense that the generation gap is too wide, try to accommodate the difference in age. Know that time, will, indeed naturally change the dynamic of the relationship.

The Page of Swords card can appear when we are surrounded by people with whom we share a significant age difference. Due to this, we are in a different stage in our lives and thus have completely different priorities and ways of thinking. Sometimes, even though our ages may be similar, our knowledge base may be significantly different due to our experiences and our educational achievements.

The Page of Swords can come across as a know-it-all. They like to discuss a wide range of topics and will be attracted to someone for their intelligence. They will want to be with someone who is as knowledgeable or more knowledgeable than them. They are not attracted to people based on looks alone and will want someone who can impress them intellectually.

But will it be an emotionally satisfying relationship? Probably not.

A New Perspective

When the Pages appear, they demand that we look at the world through a new perspective. Experience, in this case, will not help you. No matter how much of the world you’ve seen or all the books that you’ve read, know that you will have to embark on an entirely new way of thinking and being.

The Page of Swords can represent a person who is ever eager to learn, especially from someone who knows far more than they do. They will gladly respect you for the knowledge that you share with them and will never forget you for all that you have taught them. In fact, they will even look up to you and idolise you so be prepared to have a secret admirer.

Pages can also appear when there is a pregnancy on the horizon. The traditional interpretation is that they are indicative of children and young persons. In some instances, it can also represent a new love interest that may not be experienced in matters of love. I’ve found that Pages, in general, tend to pop up when a new beginning is on the horizon. We may have a few moments to relive our youth and do all the things we missed out on.

On that note, the Page of Swords can appear when what you have learnt thus far will no longer prove to be valuable to you as you move forward into a new phase in your life. For instance, many are shocked when they enter working life after a long period of study where they had much success. Why? The answer is simple: what they studied and what they have to do in the workplace is completely different. They may be in for a rude surprise when they realise that their employers are not as impressed with them as their teachers were. Book smarts can only bring an individual so far. After that, they will need other skills if they want to succeed.

The Big Promise

The Page of Swords may be the type of individual who will make big promises that he or she cannot always live up to. Idealism can run high with this individual and they will have to deal with the realities of life when the image they’ve had in their head does not materialise.

Pages, in general, are able to come up with a billion brilliant ideas. But they will not be able to follow through due to their lack of experience and knowledge. As the Page is a young energy, it will be sometime before we get to ‘see’ what comes to pass.

The Page can represent someone who may be all too eager to speak their mind, not knowing that they have absolutely no idea what in the world they are talking about. In the event that they encounter opposition, these are the kind of folks who will continue to argue in spite of their ignorance on the topic.

At the end of the day, the advise here is: remain aware of your capacity and know that it is just not possible to know it all. Be mindful that you don’t make promises you really can’t keep. If all the promises you made have failed to materialise, know that folks won’t trust you in the future… and you will be abandoned. In the event that someone does choose to stay with you, it is unlikely that the relationship will be a happy one.

At the end of the day, don’t be an air sign that’s filled with nothing but air…

  1. […] Unlike the Hermit, celibacy is not always indicated with the High Priestess. It does, however, indicate someone looking for a marriage as opposed to someone looking for a non-serious relationship. This, in turn, can foretell that a serious relationship is about to come into your life. An age gap may be present between the parties involved, but the relationship itself will be a serious one. The High Priestess energy does not bode well for people who want to play around or are still immature. […]
