Rhodonite | Redeeming One’s Purpose

What is my purpose? That’s the age-old question that we ask ourselves as we journey through life. This question becomes especially significant when a particularly important milestone has been reached. For example, when we have graduated from university, when we get married and when our kids leave home permanently. Even though we know that this is the natural order of things, we may still find ourselves wondering, “What now?”

As one gets older, one gets the sense that although one has many purposes for being born, only one or two of those purposes will take centre stage in our lives. All other purposes reside within the periphery. It is not that they do not matter, but that those ‘purposes’ are not our priority.

Our priorities have a way of changing, especially when life propels us forward into a different stage within the same journey.

Gems can nudge us in discovering our purpose during a particular period in one’s life. For the layperson, one of the first things we notice about a gemstone is its colour. Then, we try it on, feel it, and decide whether or not we like it… and more importantly, whether or not the gemstone suits us.

Rhodonite is a pink and black gemstone that can allow us to unearth the gifts that we have within us. Not only does the stone inspire us to understand our purpose, the stone can anchor our life purpose in a way that enhances our gifts and abilities and perfects them for the highest good.

When one works with Rhodonite, we are able to attract the people and situations that are best-suited for the application and use of one’s unique talents. When one is living according to one’s life purpose, one can experience the fulfilment of the desire to love and be loved.

One of the reasons why we struggle to be the best we can be is because the community around us has failed us. They have diminished our value, not recognised our talent and allowed us and our talent to gather dust. When we have experienced abandonment and disappointment in our lives, particularly within a close relationship, we may not recognise how gifted we truly are.

Rhodonite functions as a helping hand in the journey of establishing connections that are mutually respectful and compassionate. The stone can guide us towards the community that will not only value us, but also shower us with love.
