“The creative entrepreneur walks a different path from the technology entrepreneur. She/he needs to wear two hats. The first is the designer/writer/artist hat to define the creative vision of their product or service. The second is the business hat to understand the dynamics of their chosen marketplace and sell it to as many people as possible.”
As the Editor-in-Chief of Mith Books, I lead a team of writers. I’ve now had the opportunity to work with, meet and interview creatives from all fields — artists, musicians, and even dancers. Despite the choice of art form, we are all on the same journey. With each interview I conduct and with each article I edit, I discover one universal truth about ‘us’ over and over again.
Mithbooks.com still a seedling. But I have full faith it’ll grow into a glorious tree in the future. I have a different vision for the business blog than I do for this blog. I’ll be writing about mythology from all over the world as well as sharing my business philosophy. I’ll be discussing my great-grandfather and grandfather’s entrepreneurial journey as well my own.
For sometime now, there’s been a gentle voice inside me that’s been urging me on to go forth on my venture wholeheartedly. I heard it. Believe me, I did. But like many people, I was caught up in a life that didn’t fully fulfil me. It wasn’t good enough to stay or bad enough to leave. And then crisis came down on me. Not once, not twice, but over and over again. It emptied out my life and burnt everything to the ground.
