Many startups look for funding when they begin a business and whilst having some seed capital is essential to starting any enterprise – money can only take you so far. If you’re dealing with investors who are just looking for a quick return on their cash investment – that ship is highly likely to sink fast.
Mithbooks.com still a seedling. But I have full faith it’ll grow into a glorious tree in the future. I have a different vision for the business blog than I do for this blog. I’ll be writing about mythology from all over the world as well as sharing my business philosophy. I’ll be discussing my great-grandfather and grandfather’s entrepreneurial journey as well my own.
In some ways it is the same UK that I remember growing up. My cousins are all still here. I’m still close to the ones that I was close to as a child. They remember me and I remember them. They remember that I used to run around London by myself at the age of 16. It was my first taste of independence, freedom and… responsibility. I still know the streets, remember the food and know how to make my way around.
In my heart of hearts, I believe that our Singaporean national identity is one of multiculturalism – one that is embracive and strengthened by its ability to adapt. As a culture, we cannot afford to build great walls because our economy is intertwined with the world economy. Singapore was founded on the premise of international trade. Even till today, we have one of the busiest ports in the world.
